Telemedicine

The adoption of a box computer and a silicon disk, a combination with superior maintainability, has realized an unattended measuring system in remote places.
This is a PC-based telemeter system. The use of a PC allows you to periodically obtain data in an analyzed form. Also, information can be obtained from remote places whenever required.
Features
The solution
A PC telemeter system has been installed at measuring points of a dam. The PC, while controlling the start of data collection and channel range of measuring instruments based on its digital output, receives signals from rain gauges as digital input, signals from water gauges as 4-to-20mA analog input, and count signals from flow meters via the counter board. The collected data is processed into logging data and accumulated at measuring points and sent via a modem and a public circuit to the control center.
A box computer with expansion slots and a silicon disk with superior maintainability have been adopted to be installed at unattended measuring points of a dam for continuous operation. An unattended continuous measuring system has thus been realized. The adoption of a PC and a measuring control interface has also standardized software development.

Objectives
Overview
EMG Research Program -Ideal for medical services, rehabilitation, sports, training and ergonomics
BIMUTAS-Video, an EMG research program developed by KISSEI COMTEC, is a perfect choice for researchers working in the evaluation of action load through electromyography in the field such as medical services, rehabilitation, sports training, ergonomics, physiology, orthopedic surgery, welfare and preventive medicine. This program synchronizes off line the biosignals of EMG, etc. with the images from a digital video camera for display and analysis. Also, by using video image/waveform data recording program VitalRecorder-Video, you can synchronously record on line the analogue signals of EMG together with video images.

Features
The solution
The combined use of EMG research program BIMUTAS-Video and video image/waveform data recording program "VitalRecorder-Video" allows you to synchronously record the analogue signals of EMG together with video images.
EMG Recording
  • Capable of monitoring up to 32 analog signal channels for filing.
Video Image Recording
  • Synchronously record video images and waveform data.
  • By connecting a digital video camera to PC through IEEE1394 interface, you can file video images while monitoring them at the same time.
EMG data can be recorded the electromyogram data on the laptop PC using analog signals. This card has 32 channels,16 bit-resolution analog inputs enables you to provide high precision and performance on laptop PCs. The analog signal data downloaded by this analog input card will be transferred to note PC memory through bus master DMA system. This allows the EMC data in analog signals, like desktop PCs, to be recorded on laptop PCs with minimum load on the CPU.
